This article focuses on Wentzel van Huyssteen’s work theological anthropology, attending especially to his emphasis the temporal and narrative dimension of personal identity. In this regard, Van Huyssteen draws thought Paul Ricoeur, including view that memory is gateway self. With in mind, first part highlights some key features engagement last decade or two with question what it means be human, namely affirmation interdisciplinarity, embodiment vulnerability. The argument put forward invites displays need uphold interconnections between embodiment, memory, vulnerability, imagination empathy.
